L. Wade MacQuarrie has also been in the employee benefit consulting business for over 20 years.  He is a former Principal and Actuarial Consultant with Buck Consultants, Inc., and also was a Senior Consultant with Towers Perrin.  Wade has been a lead benefits consultant for a Fortune 500 defense contractor, as well as a consultant for multiemployer health & welfare benefit plans, defined benefit plans and defined contribution plans.  Wade is a Fellow in the Society of Actuaries, an Enrolled Actuary under ERISA and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.  He is a member of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and is an annual speaker for their retirement plan certificate series.
